We had the privilege to pay a courtesy call on Mr. Lishala Situmbeko, the Managing Director of Access Bank Zambia Limited and his team. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the upcoming 4th annual Lusaka Business EXPO, now rebranded as the EXPO/SUMMIT, where Access Bank is the Bronze banking partner.
The 4th annual Lusaka Business Expo, now known as the EXPO/SUMMIT, is a significant event in the business calendar, and this year, it is focused on sustainable business practices. The theme of the event is centered around finding climate-smart ways of conducting business, aligning with the global push for environmentally friendly and sustainable business operations.
In addition to promoting sustainable business practices, The PUSH Women Network
highlighted the critical need to support the SME sector with skills development in sustainable practices, business development, and access to affordable financial products. The Network supports a number of SMEs to participate on the platform and is pleased to collaborate with a bank that also prioritizes the growth and development of SMEs.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to work together to empower SMEs through skills development, business support, and financial inclusion initiatives. The partnership between the PUSH Women Network and Access Bank Zambia aims to create a platform for SMEs to showcase their capabilities, learn about sustainable business practices, and access the necessary resources to grow and succeed.
