Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park lies on the banks of the Zambezi River, stretching about 12 km above Victoria Falls near Livingstone. It borders farmland, Livingstone town, and the Batoka Gorge, making it one of Zambia’s most accessible national parks.
Features
The park is the only place in Zambia where white rhinos can be seen, closely protected from poaching. It has no predators, so visitors are guaranteed stable wildlife viewing year-round, with species such as giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and hippos. Habitats include riverine forests, mopane woodlands, grasslands, and bird-rich areas along the Zambezi.
Amenities
Visitors can explore by vehicle safaris, guided walking tours with armed rangers, or Zambezi River cruises. Historic landmarks like the Old Drift Crossing Point and Cemetery provide cultural insight alongside the wildlife experience.
